Sorry for the hold up
We've just been enjoying our time with this little ball of deliciousness...
So here's the scoop on our girl:
Reese Hazel
born on sept 19 at 11:12 am
8 lbs 8 oz
19 inches long
...and seriously cute
Life has been crazy since she's entered our world, but wonderful in every sense of the word. I've been recovering well, and she pretty much lives the kick-butt newborn lifestyle...sleeps till she's hungry, and eats till she's tired. The nights are a different story though. Her days and nights are definitely mixed up. Cooper was the opposite....slept great at nights from day one, but hardly slept in the daytime. I thought I hated that at the time, but now I don't know which is worse :) I told Dave this morning I have never been so physically tired in my life than today. No exaggeration.
Cooper has been a champ. A whole lotta tv watching, book reading, couch climbing and messing up the family room as much as physically possible. He's been such a sweetie with his lil sib...always giving her hugs and kisses. But when we ask if he wants to hold her, his reply is still, "not yet." We love it.

(Wow. I didn't realize how scary she looked right when she came out. I was just smitten)
She had some jaundice, so here she is with her bili blanket...it was permantly under her back inside her blankets. After we got home she had to be under the lights for two days. It was hard not being able to hold her all the time.

Holy heck Stace! Im so excited for you guys! Congrats! Thats exciting- Im glad Coop is takin it like a champ, thats gotta be refreshing. You look SOO good on the hospital bed- its not fair. Your hair is all perfect. Lucky! I was all fat and swollen. Tell me your secret!

She is seriously so perfect and cute as a button! And in those pictures you would never be able to tell that you just had a baby if you werent holding her! You look awesome. Glad everything is going well but if you need anything really dont be afraid to ask!

Yeah! She's a beaut. When reading about the tiredness, it's like my joints get achey because I remember that feeling. Joy and sleep deprivation...both can make one mighty sleepy! When you give me the go, I'm coming to witness that precious thing in person!
She is adorable- of course! Thank you for saying you are still in your pj's at 5:00. The ladies in my ward that just had babies keep telling me they were fine from day one and go shopping- run errands and are up and ready to go by 7:00am. Bull crap. Thanks for sharing those cute little pictures. Glad that you are doing well!

YAY! I promise I have been checking your stinking blog about 20 times a day...(notice that is more then once an hour for the hours i am awake), and NOTHING! I was ready to call and threaten your mom! But I was waiting, oh so patiently! so...SHE IS BEAUTIFUL! She is the butt stinking spiting image of Coop! She is wonderful! I want to meet her in person, and hear all the details...and what the? I KNEW....just KNEW you were going to have her soon! Did you try all the tricks we told you that night? I am glad you got some bows in time...I told you those oreos work! BAHAHA! She is dang cute :) AND I LOVE HER NAME!!! We knew a little Reese when we lived in Atlanta and I have loved that name since. (Didn't love her mom so much, so no Reese for us.... haha!) Anyway, she is dang cute. I am happy for you guys!
P.S. Did I ever send you that stuff you wanted? I don't remember. Let me know if I didn't. I just got Marta's new stuff yesterday.. haven't tried it yet!

YEAH!!! I can't wait to come see you and meet little Reese on Thursday. Did Allie talk to you? If not we are bringing you lunch on Thursday. SHe is so beautiful!! I think she looks like you, but Kristen says she looks like Cooper. Congrats your beautiful baby girl and not being pregnant anymore. Your so funny with saying"how bad she looked" and "being smitten". That is how Iwas with Cyndell she had a HUGE head but I never noticed. Now I look back and think all mty friends were probaly thinking woe that kid has a head when all I was thinking was how cute she was. Guess IW as smitten too!

Yay Stace. I'm so glad you finally posted. She is adorable and looks exactly like a Murdock. You are going to talk to me and let me know how things are going... i'm about 4 weeks till D-day. Cooper looks adorable, and i'm glad he hasn't tried to get rid of her yet. And seriously, don't ever look that good after popping a baby out. You look great!

i need to come hold little reese again! she's so sweet and new. ever since we came to see you at the hospital Izak's been saying "I want a baby sister mom" I tell him I'm working on it but he's been so persistent that i finally got him a baby doll. :) he carries her around all day, feeds her and gives her rides on his trike.
