Well frick

Aren't there times when you just don't feel like blogging? Well...that's been me the past couple weeks, and to tell you the truth I sure as heck still don't. But the people-pleaser in me must. I have no pictures, nothing fun to share from the past little bit, but I'll fill you in with what I know. The funny thing is that there is actually a lot going in our lives right now...here's what I know....

There has been a little change of plans with our move. Dave was called in at work last work and it turns out SLC needs him bad this dreaded tax season....and OC, not so much. So for the love of Grant Thornton (and saving a bunch of money) we are moving up to Utah at the end of this month. To say the least, I'm a bit stressed...just me though....Dave of course isn't, stress isn't an emotion his body feels. So anyway, there is another reason why is makes sense to move up earlier....

We bought a house! I know what you're thinking, and I totally agree...I also think we are still children and don't know how to own a home. But what the hey....if our mortgage will be the same as the junky two bedroom apartment down the street, why not? We are totally pumped. Two reasons in particular: doing laundry without having to run to the grocery store 5 minutes before to beg the clerk for some quarters. And also for having a vertical blind-free home...with curtains. Truly a dream come true. Anyway, we discovered our little dream community in South Jordan a while ago and fell in love. It's called Daybreak....or as we like to call it...our little Newport Beach in Utah. We were sold on the parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, lake....pretty much everything we love about this place....including the non-existent yards. So here we are now, almost home owners (we close at the end of the month) and pretty excited for our adventure. We have lived our dream life here and it's been the greatest 3 1/2 years of our lives. We've met some of the greatest people we know here, and who knows, maybe one day we can scrounge up a few million dollars and move back into a dumpy little fixer-upper.

Well dang it...sorry to all of you who are like me and despise reading...this is a ridiculously long post. I will try to keep them short and sweet in the future. And being the nerd I am, I can't post without a picture. Here's the little love of our lives...

Well Frick, Stace! Hooray! It will be so fun to have you here. And high five for choosing South Jordan. I'm so fetching excited to have you down the street.
P.S. Have you finished the twilight series? I want to get your opinion on it because I think my opinion is defferent than everyone else's...

Stacie! Your new house sounds amazing!! (I hear you on the desire for no vertical blinds. So help me, some day I will have curtains . . .) We are going to miss you, but I'm so excited for you! You get to have a house, be close to family, and enjoy the Utah seasons . . . Please let me know if you need any help packing or with anything else!

P.S. You are an AMAZING photographer.
P.P.S. I just finished New Moon, and I'm buying Eclipse tomorrow.

Well congrats on your latest purchase! That really is so awesome! I envy you! Really, that is so great- nothing better than earning equity from the home your living in than just throwing it away to rent right? Anyway, I just wanted to let you know I really do think that is so awesome. Oh, and p.s. I know how you feel about moving- Ryan and I have moved 4 times since we've been married. So, I really do feel your pain. Good Luck!

oh man, I am so excited for you , I heard you found one in Daybreak, and I couldnt be more excited for you, I am just excited to see your new diggs. WOW! If there is anything I can do to help when you get here, let me know...I would love to get out of the house and help you unpack or do whatever...which I am sure your mom will pop over and do! I am sorry that you are stressed, but I totally agree...I think it is a man thing, I think the women are the ones supposed to stress, and the men are the ones who can just not stress....that sounded dumb! I am so excited for you guys to move here! WOW! Have fun, and when Dave is working late rediculous hours this tax season....you could give me a call or something....we need to get Cooper and Scoty together!!! They will have fun together!! Talk atcha later sista!

Erin, i'm still pissed that you get to move somewhere awesome like No Cal... sorry just read her comment, back to Stacie. Wow, that came really fast. You will totally love Day break. But I can understand some of your worry, its just something about living away. You guys will have tons of fun with the grandparents close by and your friends. Good luck with everything!

Hi! I just stumbled upon your blog. We moved from L.A. to Daybreak in 2006 and we love it. Don't get me wrong, we miss the beach, and the diversity, and the shopping... But it is a great neighborhood.
Welcome!

oh my gosh! I am so happy for you guys! I am so sorry that it is a summer babe though, that is gonna be killer for the heat...good thing for A/C though. I love that we just switched off...Cooper was a June baby right? And Scoty was an October baby, so now we are kinda flip flopped, I am due in May, you are due in Sept, I just love that we have good timing, and also Tracie, that is too funny, Summer and Scoty are only a couple of weeks apart...too funny! Anyways, we totally need to get together...I am sorry that you were sick, was it as bad as with Cooper? I just remember you were almost dead with him! But yes, please call me, or email me your # and we will get together....I am so going crazy being cooped up in the house...I just want it to be a LITTLE nicer outside! How is the house? You guys are moved in right? I hope all is going well!! Talk to you soon....oh...and you should post something...hehe
