Well frick
Aren't there times when you just don't feel like blogging? Well...that's been me the past couple weeks, and to tell you the truth I sure as heck still don't. But the people-pleaser in me must. I have no pictures, nothing fun to share from the past little bit, but I'll fill you in with what I know. The funny thing is that there is actually a lot going in our lives right now...here's what I know....
There has been a little change of plans with our move. Dave was called in at work last work and it turns out SLC needs him bad this dreaded tax season....and OC, not so much. So for the love of Grant Thornton (and saving a bunch of money) we are moving up to Utah at the end of this month. To say the least, I'm a bit stressed...just me though....Dave of course isn't, stress isn't an emotion his body feels. So anyway, there is another reason why is makes sense to move up earlier....
We bought a house! I know what you're thinking, and I totally agree...I also think we are still children and don't know how to own a home. But what the hey....if our mortgage will be the same as the junky two bedroom apartment down the street, why not? We are totally pumped. Two reasons in particular: doing laundry without having to run to the grocery store 5 minutes before to beg the clerk for some quarters. And also for having a vertical blind-free home...with curtains. Truly a dream come true. Anyway, we discovered our little dream community in South Jordan a while ago and fell in love. It's called Daybreak....or as we like to call it...our little Newport Beach in Utah. We were sold on the parks, swimming pools, tennis courts, lake....pretty much everything we love about this place....including the non-existent yards. So here we are now, almost home owners (we close at the end of the month) and pretty excited for our adventure. We have lived our dream life here and it's been the greatest 3 1/2 years of our lives. We've met some of the greatest people we know here, and who knows, maybe one day we can scrounge up a few million dollars and move back into a dumpy little fixer-upper.
Well dang it...sorry to all of you who are like me and despise reading...this is a ridiculously long post. I will try to keep them short and sweet in the future. And being the nerd I am, I can't post without a picture. Here's the little love of our lives...
